Refund policy

Returns, Partial Refunds, and Full Refunds

Due to the size of our business, we do not accept return or refund requests. All items listed on our website are final sale.

Please see our policy below for what qualifies as damaged or defective. International orders do not qualify for replacements and may only receive a partial refund or discount code that can be applied to future purchases. Refunds and discount codes will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Refunds, replacements, and exchanges are unavailable for all orders more than 14 days after delivery.

Damaged/Defective Items

Before your order is shipped, we always do a quality check on all of our items before packaging them. On rare instances, damage can occur during processing and shipping. If you receive any items that are damaged or defective, please reach out to us at shop@iridescentfairytale.com and include photos of the item and your order number. We will email you back with an update on your order. All requests for replacements of damaged items must be placed within 5 days of the package delivery date.

What does not count as damaged/defective?

Small blemishes, residues, or scratches under 0.5 inches in size, and/or any damage sustained after unboxing or during international shipping, do not qualify for replacement. Damage on the blank side of art prints and posters does not qualify for damage due to the damage not affecting use. Damage on dust jacket flaps under 4mm in width or height does not qualify for damage due to the damage not being visible while the product is displayed.  Please reach out to us with photos of the damaged items if you would like to inquire about replacement. We reserve the right to request products be further damaged or returned prior to the dispatch of any replacements. 

For books, the following do not qualify for replacements:
  • Light Scratches
  • Wavy pages not due to water damage
  • Stencil/digital sprayed edges that have a slight blur
  • Minor scuffing on the edge
  • Shelf wear—minor dulling & fading
  • White spots
  • Scuffing on hardcases

Customer Cancellation

Due to the small size of our business, we do not accept cancellation requests unless our orders are 45 days overdue from the original aniticipated shipment window. We always email our customers if we expect something to be delayed. If you ever have questions about products, please view our shipping updates page or email us.

Missing and/or Lost Items

All inquiries regarding lost or missing items must be reported to us within 10 days of the delivery date to be eligible for replacement. If packages are reported as missing within 10 days of delivery or the last tracking update, they may not be eligible for replacement.  Please note we cannot locate lost parcels if they are marked as delivered on the parcel tracking. Please check around your property, mailbox, and with your neighbors. If you still cannot locate your package, please reach out to your local postal service. Packages may not be eligible for replacements if the order is marked as delivered or package tracking has not updated within 14 days of the original tracking number sent via email. We are not responsible for any fees or damages to parcels incurred with the use of international forwarding services. We are not responsible for packages not delivered resulting from an incorrectly inputted address by the customer.

International Orders

Beginning in July 2021, all orders being delivered to countries within the European Union (EU) will be subject to a Value Added Tax (VAT). If your order is returned to us for failure to pay VAT, the customer will be responsible for the cost of reshipment and refunds will not be offered for orders returned under this condition. Customers located internationally may be responsible for additional charges and/or tax. We are not responsible for any additional incurred fees. Products delivered to international addresses via forwarding addresses are not eligible for replacement in relation to product damage or refunds.

 

Domestic Shipping Policy

Shipment processing time

All orders are processed within 6 to 8 weeks of receipt. Orders are not processed or shipped on federal holidays or weekends.

If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. If your shipment experiences a significant delay, we will contact you via email.

Shipping rates and delivery estimates

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. Please note, shipping rates do not qualify for refund after the order has tracking.

Customs, Duties, and Taxes

We are not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the customer’s responsibility (including tariffs, taxes, and other costs).

Damages

Iridescent Fairytale is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping.

If you received your order damaged, please file a claim with the shipment carrier. Save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.

Incorrect Shipping Addresses and Refused Delivery

We make every attempt to validate the shipping address provided at checkout to ensure it’s recognized as a valid address by the USPS. Iridescent Fairytale will not be held responsible if the customer provides the wrong shipping address and we cannot recover the package. It will be at the responsibility of the customer to pay reshipment fees.

Missing or Stolen Shipments

If you didn't receive your order, but the shipping carrier has reported that it was delivered, please let us know as soon as possible:

We will file a claim with the shipping carrier and the carrier will look into the lost parcel. At the discretion of the carrier, local law enforcement may be involved. We are not responsible for the investigation. We will replace or refund orders once the investigation is complete. Please allow up to 21 days for this process to take place.
